The wide-angle video system consists of the front and rear visible-light camera acquisition subsystems and image processing module, wherein the front camera collects the video information within 180° in front, while the rear one gathers that within 90°behind the carrier. And the front and rear visible-light camera acquisition subsystems output the image and video information gathered to the image processing module, thereby securing the front area situational awareness and local video surveillance of the vehicle body.

The system can simultaneously start picture-in-picture function for, splice and transmit the video screens of the two wide-angle visible light cameras in real time, and display multi-scene images in the same video path. The monitoring video area can be adjusted through the controller to enable drivers and passengers to fully know the surroundings.
